Yonex Arcsaber 7 Play

Arcsaber is the control line. Where Astrox puts weight in the head to help you smash, Arcsaber balances evenly and flexes at impact so the shuttle sits on the strings a fraction longer - and that extra contact time is what lets you place shots instead of just hitting them.

The 7 Play is the softest and most forgiving of the range. A flexible shaft does the loading for you, so power comes without a fast swing, and the even balance keeps the head quick in the hand for defence and net play.

For beginners and club players who'd rather out-place opponents than out-hit them. If you already have solid technique and want more control at the cost of forgiveness, look at the 7 Tour or the 11 Play.
