Yonex Arcsaber 2 Clear

Yonex's 2024 entry-level Arcsaber, and one of the better first rackets on the market. The Arcsaber 2 range comes in three balance points - the Feel sits highest in the head, the Ability lowest, and the Clear right in the middle at true even balance.

Even balance means the racket doesn't push you toward attack or defence: clears, drives and net shots all feel natural while you work out what kind of player you are. The hi-flex shaft supplies power without a fast swing, the frame runs 10mm longer than standard for extra reach, and the Isometric head gives a larger sweet spot to miss into.

The safest starting point of the three for a genuine beginner or someone returning after a break. It's rated to 30 lbs, which is unusually high for this level - so it'll still suit you after your technique improves. Comes factory-strung.
