Yonex Astrox 88 S Game (Black Silver, 3rd Gen)

The 88S is the front-court half of Yonex's doubles pair. S is for Skill: same frame family as the 88D, tuned to move faster through the air so you can hold and redirect at the net.

Third generation runs the 2G-Nanomesh Neo shaft with a medium flex, which gives you quick snapback on drives and pushes rather than raw smash weight. Counterbalanced weight distribution keeps the head from lagging when you're in a flat exchange and there's no time to reset.

For intermediate doubles players covering the front and mid court, and for anyone who found the 88D too slow in the hands. Rear-court finishers should look at the 88D.
