Yonex Astrox 88 D Game (Black Silver, 3rd Gen)

The 88D is the rear-court half of Yonex's doubles pair. D is for Dominant: head-heavy, built for the player who lives at the back and finishes rallies from there.

Third generation brings a redesigned Isometric head with the Power Assist Bumper and a 2G-Nanomesh Neo shaft, which flexes and snaps back quickly rather than just being stiff. The medium flex means you get that snap without a tour-level swing. Counterbalanced weight through the grip end and joint helps the head recover between shots, so consecutive smashes don't feel like hard work.

For intermediate doubles players who play mostly rear court and want steep angles without the harshness of a Pro frame. If you're the front-court player in your pair, take the 88S instead.
