Yonex Nanoray 7000 I

The Nanoray 7000i is one of the older, more basic rackets in Yonex's discontinued Nanoray line - the recreational family that came before today's Nanoflare speed rackets.

Unlike the graphite rackets elsewhere in our range, the 7000i uses an aluminium frame with a graphite shaft. That's an older, heavier construction method - it makes the racket more durable and harder to crack than a thin graphite frame, but it doesn't flex or rebound the same way, so power and feel are both more modest. It's also why the tension cap sits at 24 lbs rather than the 28-30 lbs you'll see on the full graphite rackets in this range - stringing it tighter than that risks the frame.

Honest assessment: this is a durable, inexpensive starting racket for absolute beginners or as a spare or loaner, not a racket to grow with. If you want a real graphite racket at a similar entry price, the Nanoray 18i or Astrox 01 Clear in our range will serve you much better as your game develops.
