Li-Ning Halbertec Motor Pro

The Halbertec Motor Pro is the refined version of the Halbertec Motor, keeping the same attacking intent but rebalancing the frame from head-heavy to even for a player who has outgrown the base Motor's beginner-friendly weighting.

It runs a 6.8mm carbon fibre shaft with a medium flex and an even balance point, so power comes more from swing speed and timing than from mass sitting out in the head - a real step in character from the Motor, not just a tension change. Strung up to 28 lbs, it takes less tension than the Motor's 31 lbs, which suits the more even weight distribution and keeps the response controllable rather than stiff for its own sake.

This suits an ambitious recreational or competitive player who wants an attacking-oriented racket that still rewards clean technique, rather than one that smashes for you. It's not the right pick for a true beginner still learning to generate power - the Halbertec Motor is the easier, more forgiving frame for that stage. Against the numbered control series, the Motor Pro plays closer to the Halbertec 4000 or 5000 in balance and tension, but with a more attack-first character than either.
