The Halbertec Motor is a different animal from the numbered 1000-9000 control series - it's Li-Ning's entry point into attacking-style play within the Halbertec family, built head-heavy rather than even-balanced.

Its head-heavy weighting and soft, flexible carbon fibre shaft do more of the work for you on the smash, letting a less experienced swing still generate real pace into the shuttle. Strung up to 31 lbs, it can take more tension than any of the numbered control models below the 6000, which keeps the string bed from ballooning out under that head-heavy weight distribution.

It's aimed at beginner and improving players who want to learn to attack rather than play pure control - the head-heavy balance makes smashing easier to learn, at the cost of the manoeuvrability you get from the even-balance models in the numbered range. It's not the racket for someone who prioritises net play and quick direction changes; for that, stay in the 1000-4000 part of the control line.
