Li-Ning Halbertec 5000

The Halbertec 5000 sits at the midpoint of the Halbertec line, the first frame in the range built for players who want to combine real control with the ability to attack.

It keeps the even balance the whole control side of the range is known for, but adds a stiffer high-modulus 6.8mm shaft and a tension ceiling up to 30 lbs, higher than anything below it in the numbering. That extra headroom means the string bed stays tighter and more responsive under a full swing, rewarding a player who already has consistent technique rather than one still developing it - strung too loose relative to what this frame can take, you lose the crisper, more locked-in feel that separates it from the 4000.

It's built for an intermediate-to-advanced player who wants one racket for both patient rallies and committed attacking shots. It's not the right choice for a true beginner - the flex and tension here ask more of your swing than the Halbertec 1000 through 4000 do. Step down to the Halbertec 4000 if you want an easier, more forgiving frame; step up to the Halbertec 6000 if you're already comfortable at 30 lbs and want a stiffer, more locked-down platform.
